Luana comes from a long line of magical ancestry. Her Aunt Fauna was said to have cured the ill of health on a long summer solstice. Her grandmother Jauna, was not one many cared to tamper with, for fear of sorcery, her uncle Yulise was said to be swift of craft in any match, and her mother, her dear mother Eulena, did not so much deny the tales her clan would weave into her her impressionable child’s head, but she assured her daughter that they were as normal as any other family, with just a hint more imagination. Yet a young Luana could not help but notice the spell her mother seemed to cast upon her father, Gaulle, every time she caught his eye. HIs devotion and love for her was deep, unyielding and a bit too enchanting. Luana’s father would say her mother was like moonlight that cast away the darkness in his soul, leaving only the light and brightest in him.

Growing up she felt a magical presence around her, the same magic that was present in the tongues of her family. Luana could interpret what was not spoken, sense when change was approaching and perceive disguised intentions. These things could have easily been dismissed, as the gifts of the innocent spirit untouched by troubles of life. But with Luana’s relatives surrounding her with tales of miraculous feats performed in the light, mystical protection and uncanny strength, Luana grew up with a keen eye towards wonderment, and a sensitivity to illusions.
